The prayer breakfast has no political agenda or motive, no corporate sponsorship, no fund raising, and no selling of anything. It’s just a beautiful time of inspiration and fellowship, with good food and good music.
The purpose of the DuPage Prayer Breakfast is three-fold:
- To encourage obedience to 1 Timothy 2:1,2: “I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone – for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.”
- To provide a Christian witness to community leadership.
- To encourage government officials in their efforts to pursue justice and contend for truth, because we are supporting them in prayer.
